Nominate an outstanding employee for the Vivian Cunniffe Award

Have a colleague who outshines his peers in serving the campus community and the university mission? Honor those who inspire others with a nomination for the Vivian Cunniffe Award, given annually to an outstanding employee.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 5 p.m. Nov. 10.
The award, named for a long-time university employee who died in an auto accident in 1985, was established to pay tribute each year to a staff member who demonstrates a professional attitude, pride in a job well done, willingness to assume responsibility and a strong commitment to campus life.
Nominees will be recognized and the award presented at the December Staff Recognition Celebration. The award recipient receives a cash gift and free parking for a year. Additionally, his or her name will be added to a perpetual plaque hanging in the Warren Hall lobby.
Non-management staff members with a minimum of five years of service at Cal State East Bay, including Foundation, University Union and Associated Students Inc., are eligible for nomination.
Any CSUEB employee may submit a nomination, which should include a signed statement detailing the candidate's qualifications. Petitions are not considered an appropriate form for a nomination. Send written nominations to Myrtle Brown in human resources in WA 615.
