Student nominations sought

The President's Student Service and Leadership Awards honor individuals and campus clubs that have performed extraordinary service to Cal State East Bay or the surrounding communities.

Student Life and Leadership is seeking nominations in the following categories:

Individual: Outstanding academic achievement, outstanding citizenship, outstanding leadership, personal commitment, and advisor of the year.

Group: Outstanding citizenship, organizational leadership, and student program of the year.

All nominations are due May 17 by 5 p.m. in the Student Life and Leadership Programs office, SSH 1351. Call 510 885-3657 for more information.

The awards will be presented on May 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the University Union Room102.

Faculty and staff who work directly with deserving students and/or student organizations are encouraged to nominate candidates. Individual student nominees must be full-time students in good academic standing.

Students can nominate candidates for the Advisor of the Year Award. This honor is for an individual who has demonstrated outstanding support and personal commitment to a student organization.
Outstanding Academic Achievement
A committee will review the nominations and make the selections. Award recipients and all nominees will be honored at the May 24 reception.
