Leo Kahane (Ph.D. 1991, Columbia University) is associate professor of Economics and co-founder and editor of the Journal of Sports Economics. He has published many articles relating to sports economics and current issues such as the economics of abortion and the economics of voting decisions.

Jay Tontz (Ph.D. 1966, University of North Carolina) is former dean of the College of Business and Economics. His primary areas of research and publications have been in the economics of deregulation and forecasting the US economy. Under his leadership, the College of Business and Economics established international MBA or executive MBA programs in Moscow, Vienna, Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing.
