Melissa R. Michelson (Ph.D. 1994, Yale) is associate professor of political science. Her interests include national and state politics, with a particular focus on issues of Latino politics, voter mobilization, elections, and public opinion. She is the author of numerous articles on Latino public opinion and turnout, and on the political acculturation of Latino and Asian immigrants. She joined the university faculty at the start of the fall 2004 quarter.
