On Wednesday, April 23 from 3-6 in the New Union

Student Research Presentations and Poster Sessions.  Over 50 students have been successfully mentored by our faculty to engage in research.  Come and show your support for their fantastic efforts.

On Thursday, April 24 from 4-6 in the New Union

PEIL and New Pedagogy.  Come and enjoy a dialog on new ways of teaching and learning.

Zotero: Research and Bibliography Tool and So Much More

Zotero (www.zotero.org) is a free research tracking application (a bibliographic management tool) that enables scholars to collect, cite, share, and store their research path, making citation and bibliography easy. As you are gathering your research, you can use Zotero to download, organize, and share it. Learn more about this powerful 'research assistant' at this Faculty Development/University Library workshop. This tool is similar to EndNote and Mendeley. Please bring your laptop if you have one.

Top 10 Things to know about Blackboard's Grade Center

Knowing these ten things will get you well on your way to making the Grade Center work for you, instead of being source of mystery and frustration in your course. In addition to keeping track of the student's grades, you can also use your Grade Center as a basis for communicating to your students and providing targeted reminders or feedback.

Guide to Faculty Governance

This nuts-and-bolts session will provide you with an overview of the organization of, opportunities for, and benefits to involvement in service. Panelists will also provide tips on balancing service with research and teaching. Presenters Mitch Watnik, Statistics/Academic Senate and Susan Gubernat, English/Statewide Academic Senate.
