The Importance of Creativity
Bunny Paine-Clemes, California Maritime Academy
Dr. Bunny Paine-Clemes has been teaching creativity and critical thinking since 1980. Her chief interest is creativity. At Houston Community College (1977-1991) she directed the creative writing program and edited the literary magazine, twice named best in the state. In the 1980's and early 1990's she delivered many workshops in creative writing and creativity in the greater Houston metropolitan area. In 2008 she established a creativity course at Cal Maritime and has been teaching it for five years. After taking fifteen hours on the creativity track at Atlantic University, she has been hired (beginning summer, 2013) as a part-time professor in the distance learning program.
Amongst her varied publications in creativity, pedagogy, poetry, eastern philosophy, and fiction are two historical novels, published by Book Guild in Brighton (U.K.): Love and Death in Vienna (2011) and A Winter's Day (2012). Her website is www.bunnypaineclemes.com.
