Early Start Program Dates and Registration
Registering for an Early Start Class
Students admitted to a CSU campus who are required to complete Early Start will receive a letter in May from the campus where they indicate their Intent to Register. This letter will have instructions for registering on the CSU Early Start “Smart Page.” On this web site you will indicate whether you plan to take the class at CSUEB, or at another CSU campus. The deadline to register on the CSU Early Start Smart page is June 1, 2013.
If you choose to take the class at CSUEB you will be provided instructions on how to register for your preferred course date/time and submit your course fee payment.
Early Start Dates
Early Start classes will be offered during Summer 2013. Specific dates and times vary, depending on where you take the class and whether you need English and/or math.
Early Start classes at Cal State East Bay will be offered at both the Hayward and Concord campus. CSUEB’s two-week Early Start math class is an online course with all instruction offered online. CSUEB’s three-week Early Start English class is not online; it is offered in a traditional classroom format at the Hayward or Concord campus.
When you register for your preferred course in MyCSUEB at http://my.csueastbay.edu, specific details including meeting days, times, and campus location will be indicated. Step by step registration instructions and a registration demo can be found in the MyCSUEB “Help” section.

Deadlines
Register in MyCSUEB for your preferred Early Start course date/time by the “course registration deadline”. Submit your fee payment by the “fee payment deadline” or your course will be dropped. If you are no longer required to participate in the Early Start program and wish to receive a redund, drop the class in MyCSUEB by the “course drop deadline”.
