Tours of Campus
Daily Tours at the Hayward Campus Welcome Center
Walking tours of the campus depart from the Welcome Center Monday-Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours are led by a Student Ambassador, and visit academic facilities, campus landmarks and residence halls. Tours typically take 45-60 minutes. Please wear comfortable shoes. Reservations are requested; however, walk-ins are welcome. Make a reservation today!
Daily Tours at Concord Campus
Walking tours of the campus depart from the Academic Services Center Monday-Friday. Tours are led by University Staff and visit academic facilities and campus landmarks. Reservations are required. To make a reservation, contact the Concord Campus at (925) 602-6700.
Group Tours
Student groups are welcome to visit and tour our campuses. Advance reservations are required so that we may accommodate your tour group.
Hayward Campus Group Tours
If you are a high school, community college or early outreach counselor interested in scheduling a group tour, you may contact (510) 885-2556 to learn more about the tour program and to make a reservation. Group tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Transportation and Parking
After a reservation has been confirmed an e-mail notice will be sent including a map with directions to the University, parking information, and bus driver guidelines. Cal State East Bay is also accessible by public transportation. With prior notice, the Welcome Center can make arrangements for a Cal State East Bay bus to pick up your group from the Hayward BART station.
Pre-Admission Counseling at the Hayward Campus Welcome Center
Pre-admission counseling is available to all prospective students at the Welcome Center on the Hayward Campus. During your appointment, an enrollment counselor will review your transcript and discuss your admissibility to the University. Call (510) 885-2556 to make an appointment or to hear about our walk-in hours. Please bring copies of any applicable transcripts you may have to your advising appointment.
