Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program
Through its membership in WUE, Cal State East Bay permits eligible undergraduate students in 14 western states to enroll at a reduced fee level while students earn their bachelor's degree. WUE tuition fees are 150% of the regular resident state university fees.

Eligibility for WUE students
Undergraduate students with residency in an eligible western state can enroll in classes at 150% of California resident state fees. Residents from the following states may qualify for WUE fees:
- Alaska
- Arizona
- Colorado
- Hawaii
- Idaho
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Mexico
- North Dakota
- Oregon
- South Dakota
- Utah
- Washington
- Wyoming
To qualify for WUE Fees:
Step 1: Apply for admission to Cal State East Bay.
Step 2: Submit a WUE Participation Agreement Form (pdf).
You must apply for admission to Cal State East Bay before submitting your WUE Participation Agreement Form. If you are admitted to Cal State East Bay as an undergraduate students with legal residency in WUE participating state, you will be notified of your acceptance into the WUE program. This letter or acceptance into the WUE program will arrive separately from any letters regarding your university admission sent by the Office of Admission.
