Office of Financial Aid Scholarship Opportunities

Cal State East Bay honors outstanding students each year by administering various scholarship awards, ranging from $500 to $3,500, with the average award being $1,000. New and continuing students are encouraged to apply annually, as students may receive more than one scholarship.

Although scholarships are awarded to honor outstanding academic achievement, talent or interest, many take financial need into consideration. For scholarships where financial need is a selection criterion, students must also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for consideration.

The Future Scholars Program

The Future Scholars Program offers scholarships to qualified low income and environmentally or educationally disadvantaged students. Future Scholar recipients receive $1,000.00 per year to assist with tuition and college expenses. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage disadvantaged students to pursue their baccalaureate degree.

Application window closed for the 2014-2015 academic year (Summer 2014 - Spring 2015).
