The Cal State East Bay application fee is $55 and is nonrefundable.
Most students pay the application fee, or complete the fee waiver request process, when submitting the application for admission. In an instance where an applicant needs to submit an application fee after submitting a CSUMentor application, please send as follows:
- Pay in person: Pay by check at the Student Administration Building on the Hayward Campus or the Academic Services Center on the Concord Campus.
- Pay by mail: Mail a check to Cashier's Office, Cal State East Bay, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd., Hayward, CA 94542. Please be sure to include in the “For” line: Application Fee and your name, with your NetID or date of birth.
If the application fee is not received by the deadline, the application for admission will be cancelled.
In case of financial hardship, you may be eligible for an application fee waiver if you are a California resident. If you submit your admission application using CSU Mentor, a fee waiver request is included as part of the application process. You will be notified at the time you apply online if you qualify for the fee waiver.
In situations where the online application is unable to determine your eligibility for a fee waiver, you will need to submit a Request to Waive Admission Application Fee (pdf) directly to Cal State East Bay's Office of Admission. The Office of Admission will inform you if you do not qualify for the fee waiver in which case you will be responsible for paying your application fee by the deadline, or you application for admission will be cancelled. Submit the document in one of the following ways:
