What is the CSU College Corps Program (CCP)?
The CSU College Corps Program is a free program for underserved high school students funded by AT&T and hosted by Cal State East Bay. It is the only CCP available in the Bay Area, all other host campuses are in Southern California. Students in CCP will participate in a variety of activities designed to provide academic enrichment, college awareness and overall educational motivation. Students participating in CCP will:
- learn more about going to college
- learn about paying for college
- achieve their academic dreams
Students who join the CSU College Corps will participate through their senior year of high school and will receive the following services:
- Weekly presentations/workshops on topics like academic awareness, college motivation, test preparation, career exploration, financial aid, and study skills
- Group and individual academic advising sessions
- Grade checks and high school graduation tracking
- Educational and college-related field trips
- Occasional evening workshops and presentations for students and their parents
- Scholarship opportunities
