Pre-Admission Services
Cal State East Bay serves prospective students with a full range of outreach and recruitment services. From pre-admission counseling, to tours of campus and admission events across the state, our enrollment counselors and student ambassadors are ready to help you learn all about the many opportunities that await you as a student at Cal State East Bay.
For Prospective Students
The Welcome Center offers individual and group tours, with answers to your admission and transfer questions. Visit campus and take a tour, either individually or with a group. Pre-Admission Counseling at Hayward and Concord
Pre-admission counseling is offered to all prospective students by appointment at our two campus locations or at area community colleges to assist you with questions you may have about admission to Cal State East Bay. Appointments are available at the Hayward Campus Welcome Center at (510) 885-2556 and at the Concord Campus Academic Service Center at (925) 602-6700. Events for Students
Cal State East Bay holds Information Sessions for prospective students to learn about the university's programs and campus life. You'll also find our enrollment counselors at regional college fairs. After admission, students are invited to our Welcome Day event for admitted students. See the Admission Events page for upcoming informational events.
CSU College Corps Program
The CSU College Corps Program is a free program for underserved high school students funded by AT&T and hosted by Cal State East Bay. Students in CCP will participate in a variety of activities designed to provide academic enrichment, college awareness and overall educational motivation. Students participating in CCP will learn more about going to college, learn about paying for college, and learn to achieve their academic dreams. Learn more at the College Corps web site.
For Counselors and Educators
Counselors and educators involved in helping students make college choices may benefit from the following services.
- The Counselor Viewpoint quarterly newsletter connects counselors and educators with Cal State East Bay regarding important admission information and campus news.
- Frequently Asked Questions gives answers regarding impacted majors, deadlines, and other information necessary to the admission process.
- Counselor Events are held periodically and announcements are sent via e-mail to our mailing list.
