Alternative Transportation

Alternative Transportation Options

The Parking and Transportation Department hopes the following resources may help alleviate the demand for parking on campus :

Hayward Campus

1) CSUEB Shuttle

The University provides a complimentary shuttle service between the Hayward BART station and CSUEB. This program is funded by parking citation fees. The shuttle runs Monday-Friday* and is available to all current students, faculty, and staff. Boarding priority will be given to riders with a valid CSUEB ID Card.

For the CSUEB Shuttle schedule, please click here.

*Note: The CSUEB Shuttle does not run on weekends or on days when the University is closed. Shuttle times may be effected by traffic or weather conditions. While every effort is made to stick to the schedule, we cannot guarantee the times.

2) AC Transit

To provide the campus community with the ability to travel more frequently between Bart and CSUEB, AC Transit provides service on the 60 bus from Hayward BART to CSUEB. For the AC Transit Bus #60 schedule, please click below. This service is no longer free with a valid University I.D. To find out more information on AC transit fares please visit their website at: http://www.actransit.org/rider-info/fares-tickets-passes/. For the Route 60 schedule please click here.

Concord Campus

To reach CSUEB's Concord Campus via BART, disembark at the Concord Station. You may proceed to the Concord Campus Commuter shuttle (Route 260). This service is limited. Check the Concord Campus Commuter schedule for more information.

If you arrive outside of the times the shuttle is running you may take Eoute #10 for the County Connection to campus. Please see cccta.org for updated route times and schedules.

Oakland Campus

To reach CSUEB's Oakland Center via BART, disembark at the Oakland City Center/12th Street Station. It is located 1-1/2 blocks away at 505 14th Street, Oakland, CA.
