Flu Vaccines

The single best way to protect yourself and others against influenza is to get a flu vaccination each year.

There are two types of flu to protect against this season - the seasonal flu and H1N1. Each flu has its own vaccine.

H1N1 Vaccine

Students, faculty, and staff who would like to receive their vaccine can call 510-885-3735 to make an appointment. H1N1 Flu Vaccines will be provided FREE. All students, faculty, and staff must present their Bay Card prior to receiving their vaccine.

Final H1N1 Flu Walk-in Clinic will be held on Wednesday, November 18th from 11am-2pm in the SHS Conference Room. No appointment needed for this clinic.

Note: H1N1 Flu Vaccines are subject to availability.

H1N1 Vaccine is recommended for:

  • Pregnant women
  • Health care workers and emergency medical responders
  • People caring for infants under 6 months of age
  • Children and young adults from 6 months to 24 years
  • People aged 25 to 64 years with underlying medical conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes)

A seasonal vaccine will not protect you against novel H1N1.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine

Due to an overwhelming response, CSUEB Student Health Services no longer has the Seasonal Flu Vaccine available. Please refer to your health insurance agency, visit your local drugstore, or visit http://www.flu.gov/ for more information on seasonal flu vaccine availability.
