First Time Freshmen Students

Living on campus means you can focus 100% on your studies and enjoy organized activities right on campus. You do not need to worry about things like food or transportation. The Dining Commons has a variety of meal plans including all-you-can-eat. Residential Life in housing has activities for residents in the housing community.

• 236 total beds per building
• Double occupancy rooms within each suite
• Each suite houses 6-8 freshmen residents
• Suites include two full bathrooms, vanity, living room, and kitchenette (see floor plan)
• Kitchenette has full size refrigerator, sink, microwave, and cabinet space
• Study rooms and community lounge on most floors
• Vending machines which accept Bay Bucks
• Front Desk open every day from 8 pm-3 am

Taken into consideration that each fully furnished apartment is available with no excessive cost for first and last months rent and security deposit, the cost of living on campus is actually less expensive than local housing costs. Installment plans are available and financial aid may be directly applied to cover housing expenses.

Financial Aid Information

Housing offers a Financial Aid payment plan for students who are eligible for Financial Aid.

The Financial Aid payment plan is available to a student who has received a CSUEB Offer of Financial Aid sufficient to cover the quarterly costs of registration and housing.
