Become an Official

Interested in a flexible student postion working in sports? As an Intramural Sports Official, you are a key component to a dynamic program offering a multitude of leagues, tournaments and special events to the CSUEB community. No experience is required; we only look for individuals with a passion for sports and a willingness to learn. Each quarter we look for referees in sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball and flag football. If you would like to be reminded of rules sessions each quarter, please make sure to fill out an application on PioneerJobs. We will send reminders to all that apply each quarter. While an application online is not mandatory, we advise that you apply so you can remain updated on all Intramural Sports hiring opportunities.

Referee Orientation

Learn more about becoming an official by attending a Referee Orientation meeting. These meetings are offered at the beginning of each quarter to give a brief overview of the hiring procedures, training agendas, schedules and advancement opportunities. This orientation is not mandatory, but it will serve as a great forum to ask questions and introduce yourself to the staff.
