Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent, our time of preparation for Easter.
To mark this beginning, we participate in the ancient practice of receiving ashes, a symbol
of repentance and a reminder of our own mortality. Being marked with ashes at the beginning of Lent indicates our need for
deeper conversion during this season of renewal.
Come begin Lent with your mark of conversion.
