multicultural center that serves our diverse community! We invite you to participate in an upcoming focus group on diversity and social justice at CSU East Bay.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Focus Groups will be confidential and take just about two hours of your time. There are separate focus groups for students, faculty, and staff. Focus groups are being facilitated by a consultant who works outside of CSUEB. Food will be served at the groups, and participants will receive a $10 CSUEB

CSUEB GRAD AGNES LIONG TO COMPETE IN MISS VIETNAM PAGEANT

Cal State East Bay alumna Agnes Liong ’12 will be a contestant in the 2013 Miss Vietnam Northern California Intercollegiate™ (MVNCI) Pageant. This scholarship pageant aims to celebrate today’s Vietnamese and Vietnamese-American women, and to encourage their personal growth. Liong’s platform will focus on stopping identity-based bullying.

According to both AAUW Educational Foundation and the Washington Post, sexual harassment is one of the most prevalent forms of harassment seen on college campuses
today. 62% of college students have reported that they have been the recipients of
unwanted sexual gestures or comments.
66% of college students have reported
knowing someone who has been harassed
and an astounding 80% of students that have been harassed have reported being harassed by fellow students.
Join the Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. at CSUEB and the University Police Department in bringing
attention to this matter by attending a night of Women's Self Defense. Learn how to be more aware of your surroundings, how to protect yourself in a dangerous situations, the resources available to you and much much more.

GRADUATION 101 WORKSHOP

For all students who want to know more about graduation. Learn the answers to the following questions (and more)!! How does graduation relate to commencement? Will my name be in
the commencement program? What do I need
to graduate? How does graduation filing work, and when should I file? What is the timeline to graduate and get my diploma? What if I filed for graduation but still have classes to take? What happens at Commencement? This workshop
will NOT answer questions about individual records or provide individual academic/course advisement. But, learn how to avoid any delays and what to expect when you are close to graduation.
NO RSVP required, the first 300 students will
be accommodated.
