PAINT THE CAMPUS PURPLE

Image

The purpose of this is to spread awareness about Relay for Life at Cal State East Bay.
So, how do we paint the campus purple?
Come dressed in purple attire. (shirt, pants, hat, tie, shoes etc.), wear purple "war paint."
(purple stripes on your cheeks), buy a ribbon from the relay for life team that will be tabling that day! If someone ask you why is everyone wearing purple, you can just simply respond
"To raise awareness about Relay for Life"

We will also be doing a PENNY WARS! Every team will have a cup with their name on it and the goal is to fill it with pennies.
NO SILVER CHANGE! However, if all my friends are on Team A, I can put all my pennies in their cup and all my silver coins in Team B's cup because it will count against them!
So show some spirit and grab your pennies (and silver change). May the best team win!

All organizations must supply their own duct tape. Please purchase tape in your org colors, therefore we can have a visual representation of what organization has sold the most. If your organization shares colors with another organization please communicate with that org so we do not have repeat colors. APPLIED PEACE INNOVATION

Image

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is
a program of local, self-organized events
that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
Our 2013 theme is Applied Peace Innovation
What is Peace Innovation?
We define it as the application of social capital and technology used to decrease hostility, increase the existence of healthy interpersonal and international relationships, promote safety
in matters of social or economic welfare, and further the acknowledgment of equality and fairness in political relationships. We'll be showcasing examples this year from health, society and business.
