Cal State East Bay is committed to helping students to afford obtaining their college degree. We're ready to assist you with the financial resources you need to achieve your educational goals. With federal and state grants, low-interest loans, and work study programs, in addition to university and department-based scholarship opportunities.
Types of Financial Aid
Types of aid include Grants and Scholarships ("free" aid), Federal Work Study (work for pay) and also Loans (time payments with interest).
Paying Fees with Financial Aid
Enrollment fees for financial aid recipients are automatically deferred. See complete details in the Fee Payment Schedule.

Don't Forget to File a FAFSA for Each Year
Students must apply each year to obtain financial aid or to continue receiving aid by submitting a FAFSA. FAFSA deadline for priority consideration is March 2.

The Student Information Lobby (SIL) is located on the first floor of Warren Hall on the Hayward Campus. The SIL is open Monday 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Tuesday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Friday 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Financial aid staff is available to assist you Tuesday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
