Message from the Office of the President
California State University, East Bay is known for supporting the quest of students of all backgrounds to discover and develop their personal potential and career paths. It does so by offering an academically rich, multicultural learning experience that is uniquely personal, professional, and achievable. The University aspires to build on this reputation and mission, becoming the region's high- access university of choice. Success in realizing this vision requires that all stakeholders not only commit to helping the University earn and maintain this image, but also work to project and communicate it effectively and consistently.
The University's graphic identity system is designed to communicate and project an image of strategic value to the University. Adherence to the standards set forth in this guide will therefore help ensure that all constituents — from prospective students to potential friends and supporters — have a clear, consistent image of the University and understand that all of its units work together, share the same vision, and are committed to the same mission. Diligent and consistent use of a unified and comprehensive institutional identity system such as this will provide a solid foundation for our work in advancing the image and interests of our great institution.
All University units, employees, and students, as well as any others working and communicating on behalf of CSUEB, are expected to follow the University graphic identity, branding, and positioning standards in this guide. With your cooperation, we can strengthen CSUEB's public image, increase awareness of our mission, and build loyalty among our many constituencies.
