The OFD/FaCET organizes quarterly workshops and events on teaching, learning and other topics related to our mission. These workshops and events provide faculty with an opportunity to engage with one another in conversations about subjects such as assessment of student learning outcomes, strategies for active and collaborative learning, increasing student engagement, enhancing student writing, using classroom technology, addressing diversity, confronting varied teaching environments, advising students, qualitative vs. quantitative research, RTP, the scholarship of teaching, and the list goes on! Our premise is that faculty are our best resource. Our goals are always to promote student learning and enhance collegiality among faculty. Each quarter the workshop schedule includes workshops presented by OFD/FaCET, the Online Campus, and MATS (Media and Academic Technology Services), the ORSP (Office of Research and Sponsored Programs) and other programs on campus. The link below lists the quarterly offerings.
