Google Apps Account Transition
Google, which provides the University's e-mail service, has advised us of an important transition in the terms of their service that will affect your CSU East Bay account.
This transition affects access to all Google Apps services currently supported by CSU East Bay, these include: Mail, Calendar, Documents, Sites, Groups, and Contacts. However, after the transition, access to these existing Google Apps services for both Faculty and Staff and Student Horizon Mail will remain the same.
To begin this transition, Google will make modifications to our CSU East Bay Google accounts on October 22, 2011.
However, in order to complete the transition of your CSU East Bay Google account, you will have to accept the new Terms of Service on or after October 22nd by logging into your web mail account. This is true even if you are using clients such as Outlook, Entourage or any mobile device to access your CSU East Bay email.
You will not be able to use your Outlook, Entourage or mobile device with your CSU East Bay account until you have agreed to the new Terms of Service.
To access Faculty & Staff web mail, please log into web mail at: https://email.csueastbay.edu
To access Student web mail, please log into web mail at: https://horizon.csueastbay.edu
Those users with both types of accounts will have to log into both web mail pages.
