Fees and Fee Payment

To locate the current fee schedules, see the Paying Your Fees section of the Financing Your Education site. The following information will help you to understand the types of fees and how they are charged to your student account.

Cal State East Bay requires fee payment, or a secured financial aid award, by the indicated deadline for each quarter term. Cost of attendance is based on the number of course units attempted and your residency status. A variety of fee payment options make it convenient for you to pay online, in person, and by mail. Be sure to pay your fees in full by the fee payment deadlines, or your enrolled and waitlisted classes may be subject to disenrollment.

Tuition and Fee Information

Tuition fees are based on the number of units of coursework for which you are enrolled, and your residency status. The residency status classifications are California resident, non resident, students from neighboring western states who apply for and are accepted into the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program, and graduate students who are eligible, from 14 Western states, accepted into the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP). In addition to University tuition fees, there are other campus-based fees, individual course fees, housing fees, meal plan fees, and other miscellaneous activity fees.

Tuition and Fees are Subject to Change

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed tuition and fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
