Public Transportation

Students Talking

All three Cal State East Bay campuses are easily accessible by major freeways and public transportation. The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), AC Transit and Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (CCCTA) systems are the most popular forms of public transportation to CSUEB. For information regarding fares and individual transit schedules, please visit the BART, AC, and CCCTA websites.

Hayward Hills Campus

AC Transit operates Bus #60 between the Hayward BART station and the CSUEB campus: Fees, schedules, and maps are available on AC Transit's Rider Info site. Students, faculty, and staff are also served by a free shuttle between Warren Hall and the Hayward BART station. This dedicated route for the CSUEB community runs Monday through Friday, excluding campus closures and holidays; a current University ID is required to ride the CSUEB Shuttle.

CSUEB Oakland Center

The Professional Development & Conference Center, located at 1000 Broadway, Suite 109, is easily accessible by BART. The Center is located across the street from the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART Station; be sure to exit the station using the 11th Street Exit. From the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART station, or from other parts of Oakland, take AC Transit buses #1, 1R, 11, 12, 14, 18, 20, 26, 31, 40, 51A, 58L, 72, 72M, 72R, and 88.
